Fulbright-Nehru Master's Fellowships
The Fulbright-Nehru Master's Fellowships are scholarships offered by the Indian Government for study abroad, specifically in the United States. It is a cooperative initiative between the two countries that aims to advance higher learning and leadership.
Eligibility
This award is for exceptional Indian students planning to pursue a master's degree at a US university. The applicant must have earned a bachelor's degree equivalent to a US bachelor's degree with a minimum grade point average of 55%. Additionally, the candidate needs to have three or more years of work experience. The applicant cannot already have earned a second degree from the US or hold one.
National Overseas Scholarship for SC Students
As the name implies, students from the SC and a few other groups are eligible for these Indian government scholarships for study abroad. It is a Ministry of Social Fairness and Empowerment project that seeks to advance social and economic justice.
Eligibility
The applicant must be under 35 years old. The candidate must identify as a part of one of the following groups: Landless Agricultural Laborers/Traditional Artisans/Nomadic Tribes/DE Notified Scheduled Castes (SC) The applicant must have received at least a 60 percent on their prior degree. The candidate's annual income cannot be more than INR 8 lakh.
Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree
The Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree programme is a further scholarship offered by the Indian Government for study abroad. This was planned and executed by the HEI of three or more countries with the intention of fostering and promoting internationalism in famous universities.
Eligibility
Before submitting an application for this India government scholarship for study abroad, the applicant must have earned their bachelor's degree or be in their last year. Also possible is a bachelor's equivalent for the candidate.
Agatha Harrison Memorial Fellowship
The Ministry of Human Resource Development is the owner and source of funding for the Agatha Harrison Memorial Fellowship. This fellowship is given by the Indian government to one fellow who will study at the University of London.
Eligibility
The student possesses a Ph.D. in their area of interest, a postgraduate degree, and an overall grade point average of at least 60%. Few subjects are eligible, as was previously noted. To be eligible for the fellowship, an applicant must be between the ages of 30 and 40. After the candidate receives their Ph.D., they must have a minimum of three years of experience teaching at the PG or UG level.
